In 2004, Dr Swami Shankardev and Jayne Stevenson decided to pool their talents to create Big Shakti. With Swami Shankardev’s extensive experience as a medical doctor, author and yoga authority, and Jayne Stevenson’s diverse experience in communication, filmmaking, art and spirituality, they found common ground in their desire and ability to make authentic healing and wisdom accessible to all.

Swami Shankardev and Jayne have since worked together to create a place where authentic knowledge can be accessed through Big Shakti’s website, training CDs, eBooks, and DVD. They are currently creating several online courses and resource materials for students.

They co-create various seminars and workshops, which Swami Shankardev presents throughout Australia, USA, Europe and India.

Authenticity, effectiveness and value are the key elements of every work they create. Whether an article, or a training CD, these important principles are the foundation of work.

Much of the knowledge and many of the techniques presented on Big Shakti derive from Swami Shankardev’s medical, yoga and yoga therapy experience. Jayne’s writing and communication skills, and her background in Daoism all combine to bring great potency and clarity to every work they co-produce.

The collaboration between Swami Shankardev and Jayne is creative, rigorous and enjoyable. Most importantly, their collaboration is an integral expression of their deep purpose to support their fellow beings in developing health, creativity, happiness and meaning in life.
