Jayne Stevenson
Jayne Stevenson is a communicator, filmmaker and producer with a deep interest in art and spirituality.
Jayne’s greatest interest is originality and the fostering of creativity. Over her life she has pursued her interest in communicating ancient authentic wisdom and creativity to the modern world, in accessible and meaningful ways.
From 1982 to 1992 Jayne studied Tai Chi, Dao meditation and massage with a master of martial arts and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Professor Lun Wong. in Melbourne, Australia. Through this study she developed a grounded, in-depth understanding of how to embody the principals of mind-body integration and higher consciousness.
While studying Tai Chi and Dao, Jayne pursued an education in filmmaking, communications and design. She wrote, directed and produced several art films and music videos that have screened in art galleries, cinemas and television networks around the world, including Australia, USA and Europe.
Jayne's recent production Yoga of the Heart is a self-funded production that captures the Sat Chandi Festival, an annual festival hosted by the great yoga-tantra guru, Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
From 1993 to 2003 Jayne played an integral role in building a successful ethical advertising company using her diverse talents in communications, writing and design.
She is dedicated to supporting others in finding the right vehicle for their talents, and in building successful and meaningful lives.
In 2004 she established Big Shakti with Dr Swami Shankardev Saraswati. Through Big Shakti, Jayne aims to create beneficial and innovative ways for people to access authentic knowledge, while supporting and proliferating the great works of authors, teachers and artists.
Jayne has co-authored and produced Yoga, Meditation and Tantra CDs with Dr Swami Shankardev and is co-founder and co-author of Big Shakti.
